In honor of Mental Health Awareness month, we have decided to release another track from our upcoming album, "An Optimistic Dark".
This promo track actually contains two tracks in one! The initial instrumental lead-in you hear in the beginning of this track release is actually going to be a track all its own, entitled "Forgotten, But Not Gone", which then leads into our song "Ballad of the Failure".
The reason we chose this song for our next promo release is because it lyrically touches on mental struggle. And with May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it only seemed fitting to choose a track that would resonate volumes with said theme.
Most people actually do have to fight and struggle to put on a smile every day, because let's face it.... life isn't always all that great. There are a great many reasons that life can be a struggle for most of us, and one thing that gets overlooked way too often is mental health. We sacrifice our bodies for jobs that would replace us if we died tomorrow, and for what seems like very little gain. And as such, we also find ourselves sacrificing our own emotional and mental well-being for those same jobs and means, which is only hurting ourselves in the long run.
Therefore, in honor of advocating for mental and emotional wellness, we offer you this track for absolutely free! But if you do decide to pay a little for the track, we will take every cent raised from it and donate it to a New England organization of our choosing that helps those in need mentally and emotionally, so donate if you can! If not, then enjoy the track anyway, and keep on the lookout for our album, "An Optimistic Dark", coming out on June 19th at our CD release show!
